The Dairy Barn, six ceremony locations across the property, and cottages named after the original cattle runs. The paddocks are still worked and the Bando Brahman stud is still here, which is what makes the word rustic a fact rather than a decorating choice.

01Getting ready
Breakfast on the cottage deck, the paddocks already awake. Hair and makeup come to you.

Canapes on the grass while the light drops behind the ridge. Guests find each other.

Since 1853
It is still a farm
Yandina Station has run cattle since 1853. It still does. The Bando Brahman stud is here, the paddocks are worked, and the cottages carry the names of the runs the property was divided into in 1856.
The venue came later, in December 1996, when the Homestead opened for functions. That order matters. Most rural venues are built to look like farms. This one is a farm that learned to host weddings, which is why the fences are real and the view out of the barn is of stock, not of a car park.

The morning after
Nobody drives home at midnight
Guests who stay do not have to leave when the music stops, and neither do you. The cottages sit among the gums with the paddocks starting at the deck rail.
They opened recently and guests are still telling us what to add. One asked for a cooktop rather than a fry pan, so that is on the list.
