Where the names come from

The origin of the three cottage names.

Four cattle runs were held from the Yandina head station in 1856: Yandina, Whidlka-Whidlka, Canando and Pooreema. Three of those four names are now on the cottages, which is the closest thing this property has to a deed of title written in plain language.

Two bedrooms, light-filled living spaces opening onto timber decks, and full kitchen facilities, set among eucalyptus and Moreton Bay Fig trees with views over grazing pastures. The buildings won the 2011 Sunshine Coast Master Builders Award for Tourism Development.

The description above applies to all three, and so does the photography. That is deliberate rather than an oversight: the cottages are genuinely comparable, so they sit on one page instead of three pages saying the same thing. Bed configurations, outlooks and nightly rates are not published yet and are not guessed at here. Ask when you enquire, or run your dates through the booking engine for live rates.

Why one page

Three names, one product

The cottages share a description, a build and a set of photographs. Until they differ on something a guest would actually choose between, they stay on one page.

Each cottage still has its own anchor, so a booking confirmation or a campaign can link straight to it. If distinct rates, beds and outlooks are published later, the anchors become their own pages and every existing link keeps working.

Staying as part of an event on the property works differently. Wedding venue with accommodation covers that, and corporate retreats covers delegate rooms.
