The rules it has to meet
Governing law
- Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the thirteen Australian Privacy Principles

- Spam Act 2003 (Cth), for any marketing email sent from a form submission

The brief
What the finished document must cover
Compiled from what this site actually does, so the drafting starts from the real system rather than from a template.
- 01The enquiry and tour request forms: what is collected, why, how long it is kept, and which mailbox receives it.
- 02RMS Cloud, the accommodation booking engine, which takes guest and payment details on its own systems.
- 03Mailchimp, if any address collected on this site is added to a mailing list, including the unsubscribe path.
- 04Google Analytics 4, including what is measured, IP handling, retention period and how a visitor opts out.
- 05Microsoft Clarity, which records session behaviour and therefore needs its own disclosure and masking settings.
- 06Google reCAPTCHA, if it is ever added, since it transmits visitor data to Google on every page it loads.
- 07Cookies and similar storage, cross-referenced with the cookie policy so the two documents cannot contradict each other.
- 08Overseas disclosure, since several of the processors above hold data outside Australia.
- 09How a person requests access to their information, requests a correction, or makes a complaint, and the response time for each.
- 10The contact details of whoever is accountable for privacy at the business, including a postal address.
In the meantime
What you can do now
Nothing on this site asks for personal information beyond a name, an email address, a phone number and what you are planning, and none of it is sold to anyone. If you would rather not fill in a form at all, the phone number below reaches the property directly.
Questions about any of this go to info@yandinastation.com.au or (07) 5446 6000. The postal address is on the contact page.
